"Jess and Oliver are a class act. Their rare mixture of expertly chosen classic and modern songs delivered with haunting guitar arrangements connect with every hair in the room. Jess has a voice that could sit alongside the greats of Dusty or Aretha with a cheeky personality of a young Cilla Black. Retro style. Classic feel. Breathtaking performances. Once seen-never forgotten. They have brought the house down at A NIGHT TO REMEMBER in a sold out 1500 seater venue with Jess holding the crowd in the palm of her hand."

"Jessica Steel sings with such a beautiful, impassioned intensity it’ll blow your noggin."

"I saw Jessica before I heard her. I thought she looked amazing, I always think style tells you a lot about a person. When I heard she was a singer I asked a mutual friend to ask if she would guest with us. Jess came and guested on a few numbers without rehearsing and with not very good stage monitoring. What did she do? She did brilliant. How brilliant? Well, you know the high note at the end of Tin Soldier... the one PP Arnold sang... well; that's how good she did!
Jessica is brilliant fun to be on stage with because it is in her heart and soul, and, for as many gigs as I have done, no amount of gigging or practicing can create heart and soul; it is something that lives within a person - Jessica is that person, and it shines.
Go and watch her, now!"

"Jess Steel is well known and much loved in and around York's underrated music scene.
Friendly and popular off the stage, she likewise has a wonderful persona on it, thanks not least to those strong, heartfelt, affecting and pitch-perfect vocals. She has the look to go with it too: classic and classy. The voice and that look create a beguiling stage presence; she can lift a crowd one minute, then hold them still the next, seemingly without even trying. At times it's almost as if she forgets she's performing for an audience such is her own soul enwrapped in and appreciating the music.
The most remarkable thing about Jess' talent, for me, is that it hasn't been seen farther and wider. This could be her own fault - is it humility? An unwillingness to be knocked about by the industry? Does she just enjoy what she does? Whatever it is, more people should enjoy what she does too."

"Jess and Oliver played at our wedding in the summer. They were exactly what we needed to entertain our family and friends and get the party started.
From arrival to leaving they were polite, fun, professional and interested in our day. They asked us what songs we wanted playing, worked the set around our needs, checked timings, then they sang and played their soulful hearts out for us! From old classics to modern day numbers, Jess and Oliver grabbed our attention, got our feet tapping and many of us up dancing.
The charge was excellent compared to others we asked for quotes, and they earned every penny and some. They travelled over 100 miles to get to our chosen location, nothing was too much trouble.
If you are looking for a live band who can put a huge smile on your face, with vocals that do justice to Mustang Sally to any Adele numbers, I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. 10 out of 10!"
